Celebrate with a Cupcake

So I have had NO time lately, what with work and, um, work.  This is a card I've been working on, but just finished up.  I love Ruby with her cupcake!

I borrowed the colors for the blueberry and then had to buy them because I liked it so much.  I also love coloring red-heads and use the combination YR02, 04, 07, and 09 all the time.  I am not organized enough in my coloring and card making to write down my color combinations, so I couldn't tell you what other combinations I used.  I did edge the white carstock I stamped her on with one of the oranges in her hair, but it didn't photo well.  The paper is from the MME Happier 6x6 pad and some pink cardstock I had leftover from something else.

I have been without internet at home all week, so I've been working on this post from work (lunch break).  I'm hoping to get this entered in the Sparkle Creations Celebration Challenge (SCRSC 84) :-)  My friend Holly is always encouraging me to enter challenges and do the blog-hops, but I always seem to run out of time!  I think I'm going to make it with this one though :-)

Happy 4th

Well, this has been an adventure filled week and it's only Monday!  Made it to work and back on the bike without getting hit by any cars (although one came close) - hopefully I can successfully repeat tomorrow!  I decided I had time to finish this card that I actually started last week.  I was actually making name tags for Simply Scrapbooks and had one left.  Then Holly reminded me about the challenge at Loves Rubber Stamps and I thought I'd use my remaining image to make a cute 4th of July card :-).

As is becoming a habit, Eintstine-the-cat had to help a bit with the coloring (sleeping in my lap) and photography (actually got more involved in that).  It was tough to get an image that didn't include her paw!  So for this card I used my Stampendous "Patriotic Pair" stamps.  For paper I used MME American Made "Patriotic Polkadot" paper (it is polka on the other side of that lovely houndstooth) and blue & red cardstock.  I colored her with my copics.  Overall very fun to make - and will hopefully be fun for my petsitter to receive :-)

Thanks for looking! (And, Holly, I managed to create links!)
