Howdy

Well, I haven't had any coloring time for awhile, but finally this week I got some.  Yay!  I colored up this cute cowboy from Sparkle Creations and thought I'd enter him into the Sparkle challenge and the My Favorite Things Get Sketchy challenge.  So far I have to figure out how to resize my image so I can upload to Splitcoast, so we'll see...but without further ado, here's my card:

I meant to write down the copic colors I used, but the organized auditor in me had them put away before I had the chance... I'm really terrible at this blog-sharing thing but one day I'll get it down!

So I think I got my card uploaded to Splitcoast OK, but I was 30 min late for the Sparkle challenge :-(  What a bummer.  Hopefully my next coloring session isn't too far away and I can try the next one.

Have a great day!

Celebrate with a Cupcake

So I have had NO time lately, what with work and, um, work.  This is a card I've been working on, but just finished up.  I love Ruby with her cupcake!

I borrowed the colors for the blueberry and then had to buy them because I liked it so much.  I also love coloring red-heads and use the combination YR02, 04, 07, and 09 all the time.  I am not organized enough in my coloring and card making to write down my color combinations, so I couldn't tell you what other combinations I used.  I did edge the white carstock I stamped her on with one of the oranges in her hair, but it didn't photo well.  The paper is from the MME Happier 6x6 pad and some pink cardstock I had leftover from something else.

I have been without internet at home all week, so I've been working on this post from work (lunch break).  I'm hoping to get this entered in the Sparkle Creations Celebration Challenge (SCRSC 84) :-)  My friend Holly is always encouraging me to enter challenges and do the blog-hops, but I always seem to run out of time!  I think I'm going to make it with this one though :-)

Happy 4th

Well, this has been an adventure filled week and it's only Monday!  Made it to work and back on the bike without getting hit by any cars (although one came close) - hopefully I can successfully repeat tomorrow!  I decided I had time to finish this card that I actually started last week.  I was actually making name tags for Simply Scrapbooks and had one left.  Then Holly reminded me about the challenge at Loves Rubber Stamps and I thought I'd use my remaining image to make a cute 4th of July card :-).

As is becoming a habit, Eintstine-the-cat had to help a bit with the coloring (sleeping in my lap) and photography (actually got more involved in that).  It was tough to get an image that didn't include her paw!  So for this card I used my Stampendous "Patriotic Pair" stamps.  For paper I used MME American Made "Patriotic Polkadot" paper (it is polka on the other side of that lovely houndstooth) and blue & red cardstock.  I colored her with my copics.  Overall very fun to make - and will hopefully be fun for my petsitter to receive :-)

Thanks for looking! (And, Holly, I managed to create links!)

It's a Blooming Good Day

So I haven't figured out too much more of the blog thing since my first post, like how to link to other sites, but I'm going to continue to work on it.  I've made 2 more cards since the first, but forgot to photograph one before sending it off.  I used a cute Sparkle stamp - Charlotte with a Rose.  She was really cute!  Anyways, here's the other card I made.  Also cute, if I do say so myself.  I used the My Favorite Things "Blooming Good Day" stamp.

I used the same paper as the first card I posted - probably will use it several more times!  Used my copics and did some paper piecing on her dress.  So that's it for now.  Maybe I'll have a little more time this week to color :-)

SCRSC81 Card Challenge

So I'm trying to expand my creative-ness.  First blog entry.  First creative challenge. (Not quite first card, but close.)  Next step, see if I can actually link into Sparkle Creations SCRSC81 challenge :-)

I wanted to make a card for a friend and thought this would be a good opportunity to try a challenge.  For this card I used Ukulele Josh and my copics.  I did botch my stamping a bit, but am happy with the coloring.  Paper is from Authentique and Bo Bunny and something I had around the house.
